Can you put a trigger (and enforce it) in a contract that say that if on January 1st, 2015, a new contract is not reached then something beneficial happens to us, surely a tradeoff with them, but something that would want neither continuing status quo? Or maybe just us continuing status quo?

Wow. If yesterday's DL cutback news was to make the pilots feel all gloom and doomy, I hope it was worth it! They lost 10% on the stock price and dragged most of the other airlines down with us. I thought it might be intended to put some pressure on the MEC to pass it along and us to vote yes. "More cutbacks are coming, so if you guys want any PRAYER of movement you better pass this, give us more RJs, and we'll get those 717s for ya. Then, we pinky PROMISE we'll hire!"

It is interesting when you can counter a doom and gloom you better sign this mysterious TA or else because bad times are ahead with: "you know Wall Street just doesn't like your capacity cuts. We need to grow. Why aren't we growing?"

Maybe they don't realize the new found power they have to affect the industry?

effect the industry.
