I'm not based there, but I'd imagine having a car would make it a great deal easier. The majority of the flying is out of LAX with a few 737 trips originating in SNA. Not very many flights, if any, out of ONT. Welcome aboard, and hope you get the base you want on this next AE!

On the 757/767 you will fly mostly from LAX with a some SNA, and extremely rarely out of ONT.
For the last two years or so the 737 has been exclusively LAX but we flew from SNA and ONT in the past.

100% of 737 is LAX - we have not flown out of there in over two years
and I would say about 85-90% of the ER is LAX.If you commute into LAX you can take a Shuttle to SNA. The last time I took it I think it was $37 and takes about an hour.

I'm usually five years behind, so the fact that things changed two years ago means I'm moving along! Thanks for clearing up my error.

With the AE that just posted you will get there fastest on the 320. Looks like they won't backfill 15 73N slots between SLC and CVG and they are adding 320 positions in SLC.

Rocky, do you think that holds true for getting to ATL quickly too? (i.e. 320)? Start indoc Monday. All choices are NYC. Any suggestions welcomed. Thanks.

Not sure about ATL. I haven't watched how things have been going there lately. M88 is probably the fasted track to ATL, but I'm not sure.
