Must be why they took me with my 2.0 from The Citadel!

Pretty sad if a Delta employee can't even spell it right! Can we fire them?

Anyone who gets an interview should prepare and enlisting the help of experts, like the service you offer, improves their odds of getting hired greatly. Practice makes perfect. For a $5,000,000 + career, there is no better deal.
Agreed. Its unreal when someone even considers the cost of basic and fairly inexpensive things like that given what's at stake (steak?).

Really appreciate the help and advice!
Recommend all with fix it email have a second set of eyes review your application. It's been interesting as I've helped fellow military folks to see how the app questions can be read differently by different people. Since none of us know the magic formula and real show stoppers, a second opinion could make all the difference.

I was told last night that Delta won't even look at you if your GPA is less than a 3.0. Is this true? I had a 2.96, can I round up?

I'm working on Master's now, would that offset my paltry undergrad GPA?

Thanks!!
One client had a 2.5 GPA and he was invited the first week Delta started conducting interviews. He was successful at the interview because of what he accomplished after college. They are looking at the entire application when they interview a pilot.

Maybe that's why I haven't had Delta call....I was below 3.0 in high school/college ....Though I did graduate #1 at UPT for the Air Force, you would think that would amount to something......oh well........It's all a crap shoot....

most pilots have amazingly impressive resumes. Whether its XX,000 hrs, or PIC, or 20 airplanes, or service academy, or awesome GPA, or you were NCAA all American, or #1 in UPT, or whatever it may be, you're competing with a lot of independent, highly motivated and talented people. There are literally thousands of impressive resumes out there. Take a look at the people that are getting hired and I think you'll agree that where one might be perceived to be lacking or mediocre, they make up for it elsewhere in a big way. There are around 9,000 applications on file with DAL!

Default Gpa concerns

Thanks for the responses, glad that won't be an issue. My degree isn't from a service school, but it doesn't sound like that big of a deal.

Thanks

Adam

How long did it take you to upgrade and how many hours of TPIC did you log while you pulled into mainline gates flying hub to hub? Did you non rev on mainline with your family? Are you part of a flow up to Delta? Are you gonna take all that PIC time and interview with any other airlines?

Sorry to bring this up again..but I just don't buy this "poor RJ captain" crap..and I will remind everyone whenever I hear this BS sob story..especially from potential new hires.

Apparently, one pilot actually pulled out his DCI badge and said "I get a job" when the interview went downhill. He was wrong.

But I'm sure if a rejected candidate just says "life goes on, man", they'll get over it a lot faster than 1310 of us got over our furlough.

You should have a great career if you get hired at the front of the wave.
The butthurt is strong with this one.
