Thank you for the replies. I tend to over-think things some times; just want to avoid the appearance of hiding something or not being forth coming.

The job was practical experience related to my degree, but I dropped out of the program one work quarter shy of earning the co-op certificate. In response to the potential "why did you quit?", I was avoiding having to stick around another full year because the Olympics were taking over town.

My transcript says "Co-op Work Assignment" for the respective work quarters so I'm sure an HR-type will pick up on it. I think I will just lump it into the college time and be prepared to discuss.

Thanks again,

I have something else for the bean counters to choke on.

Srsly. Stepping over a dollar to pick up a penny. A How much money has the company lost due to an inadequate crew comm suite? Just because the bean counters were "choking." silly.

Default Does GPA really matter at Delta?

So I currently have about 2400 hrs total, around 1100 turbine PIC, currently flying and instructing in the P-8A (739) internationally. Feel that I am getting close to being competitive. If not now, then maybe in another year or two.

I was told last night that Delta won't even look at you if your GPA is less than a 3.0. Is this true? I had a 2.96, can I round up?

I'm working on Master's now, would that offset my paltry undergrad GPA?

Thanks!!

You will be fine. They look at the overall package. They do understand the military side of your background. As a example they will wonder about a guy who did not check out as a PIC in a reasonable amount of time. They also know a 2.96 from a service Academy is worth a lot more then a 3.7 from SDSU where I went to school.

You certainly know what he is talking about. Instead, does your question fall into the "give someone enough rope" category?

Just want to say "thanks" to all who have posted on the Airline Apps info that needs to be corrected. I got a "fix it" note about a missing GPA, but after reading your posts I found MULTIPLE problems with my application that I figured were not a big deal.

Really appreciate the help and advice!
