Nothing against you personally and I hope you are successful, but I find it genuinely frustrating that people are getting second chances before so many qualified applicants can't even get a call. I have many, many friends that are totally qualified, have exquisite apps, attend the job fairs, network like crazy, etc and can't get the time of day, but people that couldn't cut it the first time are getting another chance.

FWIW, I too am patiently waiting for Delta to call. Turbine PIC, high GPA and honors from a top tier university aviation program, community service, internal recs, job fairs, clean record, etc, etc.....

Some do deserve the second shot. I personally lose out through this since they would get to my number quicker, but some really amazing guys both civ/mil have lost out to factors beyond their control. A recruiter informed me that they can't take but so many DCI guys due to killing their feed. Just my two cents, but the second time around if they are really bad I'm sure that will be seen, but some deserved it the first time and I'm glad they get another shot.

You get invited to the first interview and score enough points for the second interview you are not holding back people that are being considered for their first interview. If you are out there trying to get the call I realize this can be frustrating but people going for their second interview earned the first one. They have been vetted by the process and that process belongs to Delta. Also none of this applies to the SSP candidates as they are in a different pool with a different set of circumstances.

I'm pretty sure that only the testing failures are offered a "second chance". I've heard that if you go through the testing but don't make the "interview" part successful, then it's curtains forever....

I've had an app in for 8+ years and still have yet to get the invite with DAL. DAL has interviewed some and given the CJO and we are scratching our heads wondering "they hired that person!" Then they turn down some that have been stellar candidates.
