But, Mesaba and Compass flows don't go through the interview process to begin with, right? So, there would be no change in the applicant pool.

They have saved class dates, and spots for the flows. That means the hiring dept needs to hire less. With a hiring rate of 85 plus a month, and those programs exhausted for the year or permanently, there are more seats in each class for off the street hires.

The SSP is still sending interview invites out as late as Oct, so I would not say its done, and will more than likely run its course.

All true. I believe the last Compass group for this round will be in Atlanta in October. Yet, they're giving poolies class dates well before that.

Bar was suggesting that the pool of applicants was more competitive w.r.t. Delta standards resulting in a higher success rate. Unless I'm missing something, I don't see the correlation.

Wow! Is this accurate?!? Seems like an awfully low number.... Is it a a question of applicants not taking the process seriously ("I already have the job, this is just a formality," which is what I'd heard shot a couple of guys down), or something else?

I'd think the word would be out by now to SSP candidates to prep, prep, and then do some prep.... What am I missing?

That's what I was told by the CPO. I think there is a screen somewhere in MSP that shows all of the stats.

So what poolies have been given class dates recently? On 4 Aug, Capt Krabey told the group to expect class to start the first week of Sept because the pool would exhausted by late AUG. Was wondering if that was still the case with current training schedule.

The SSP terms allow Delta access to all employee records, not just PRIA. Potentially, more available information will statistically eliminate more applicants. Combine that aspect with the lack of primary screening given to OFS applicants (because eligibility is based on employment only), it is not unexpected to see a lower pass rate. Endeavor staffing difficulties may also be playing a role, to some extent.

Whatever the early perceptions or expectations, no one at Endeavor thinks the SSP is a "gimme". For comparison: Endeavor management claims the chances for a Delta applicant to receive a CJO to be at 6%, overall. YMMV

That's a much shorter period of time than it was earlier in the year. People were waiting in the pool for months then.

As for the schedule, I only know what I read here.

There is nothing unusual about the pass rates on hiring. The pilots being called in for a interview off the street all have fantastic overall records or they would not have been called in the first place. If your called from off the street Delta has already said your qualified. They are picking people from a very deep pool of applicants after years of no real hiring. As the pool gets more shallow the interview pass rate will drop also.
As pointed out in the Endevour threads when the apply the Standards Delta likes to see to in non flying background the applicants pool is very small. If you took a look at those not passing the interview coming from the SSP you will find the resumes would not have been pulled for a interview had they been in the off the street stack. As the off the street applications become weaker as all the majors swing into a massive hiring modes the pass rates will more closely match up.

I received the CJO on 24 Jul and still awaiting a call for class. I heard 2 Sep is full and hopefully the call for 8 Sep will come soon.
