Delta Hiring News

There are some pretty big loopholes in those flow agreements.
What is the definition of "hired"?
We might see "conditional offers of employment". Does that count as a "hire"?
What if they hire 200 guys in one month with class dates spread into the future?
What do the flow numbers look like in that case?

DL really likes the 60/40 CIV/MIL mix. I'd be willing to bet they are going to do what they can to try to achieve that. It actually bodes worse for the non flow/guaranteed agreement civilian guys than it does for the mil types.

2013 won't have any off the streeters and 2014 will be very, very lean as well although there will be some. After that it should pick up considerably.

Yep, I think the "large numbers in one month" is Delta's big loop-hole to allow off-the-street hires. If they hire 100 in a month (they have done that before) then you still only get a max of 12 Pinnacle guys. That leaves a lot of room for Mil or other types. They could easily do one class of 100 through indoc and then space out the initial aircraft training as the pipeline allows.

Thanks for the encouraging words. I still have been updating the application weekly for the past few years. Luckily I'm in a good place to hang out in the meantime while hoping for opportunity. All the DL pilots have been great when commuting and said similar words. It's just hard when you see all the agreements and how little hiring is needed for the next year.
