The EtD boosted those numbers to 35% or 300 in a year, whichever is less. Who knows when/how the program will end.
What I'm curious is how is delta planning for endeavor to cover the flying they have allotted for endeavor? ExpressJet, for the month of October, is covering some of endeavors flying because endeavor cannot staff their operation.

It will get interesting to see where it all goes. If they take more ssp people the endeavor operation will be more strained than it is.

Any idea of the civilian side how many were ssp and flow? Just curious.

Thanks!

In my class of 30, I'm the only 100% civilian pilot. 18 from Compass….about 5-6 SSP and about 5 military or mil/civ combo.

I consider myself to be exceptionally fortunate.

How many Marines?

In the dark ages there was always -one- token Marine in every class, just so the rest of us would have someone to goof on!

(and they make the rest of us look brilliant!)

Apologies to all the Marines out there, some of my best friends are Marines...now.

My numbers are from OC miller and he said as of sept 1st, 610 pilots have been hired as follows;

• 51% civilian
• 37% military
• 12% civilian/military

It's my understanding that of the 51% civilians hired about 40% of those have come from compass and endeavor.

Everybody needs at least one Marine as a wingman, they come in handy at every bar about closing time!

"I'll take the fat one!"

Yes, yes you will!

Those numbers do go up to 300 but that was for the new EtD deal. The EtD deal won't really start to take effect for about 5 years which is when the guys currently getting hired will finally have 2 years as a captain.

Negative. The 35% or 300, whichever is less, is effective JAN 1 for the SSP commitment. It is independent of EtD.
