It is a seniority order guaranteed interview if you are a captain.

To clear up the information about the Compass Flow LOA. A Compass pilot will have the first opportunity to be a new hire before any other new hire. Compass can flow up to the lesser of 25% of the Compass Seniority List over a rolling 12 month period, or 20 per MONTH. So our max flow is 115, at a rate of 20 per month.

A very true and accurate statement. They can loophole it in a way that best fits them, and hey, why not? It's their company.

Hang in there Diesel,

As previously posted, the numbers are "per-month" not per class. Once hiring starts it actually can cause a need for more hiring as guys get pulled off the line for training.

Once hiring really cranks up the flows will be limited by their 25% annual limit.

DAL likes MIL guys and will continue to hire plenty of good military guys.

You may have to wait a year, but your time will come.

I don't think DAL WILL hire "plenty" of military guys. Why not?

Because there are not many military pilots anymore, who can fly manned aircraft, coming through the pipeline. AND, because AA/UAL/Alaska/Hawaiin/FedEx/UPS, etc., etc. will all be competing for them. When the pie gets a LOT smaller, and there are a LOT of people eating the pie, there's not so much for each person!!!

UNLESS DAL decides to pay something like 50% more than everyone else, then they can get most of the mil pilots that are still licensed for manned aircraft.

I believe you might be a bit misinformed on the amount of mil pilots doing the UAV thing. The vast majority still fly real airplanes.

They shot down a drone and it filled my heart with glee,

They shot down a drone and it's one less slot for me
.......

So, what do you do if the drone you're flying gets shot down?

I dunno. Go get another cup of coffee?

......

Bar hates drones; loves to see them wreck ...

Starting in 2010, over 50% of the new USAF student pilots bypassed UPT and went directly into UAVs.
