Delta Hiring News

What I was asking was simple. Delta keeps track of your applications. It's as simple as saving prior applications on the computer and any changes will be flagged. If they see you changed from having a warning letter on your app, to not admitting to it on your app, they will draw a flag. Once you submit something, be prepared to answer for any changes if you get an interview. Maybe they will understand and look it over, or maybe they won't. Full disclosure is best.

Oh ok I understand now. But for the letter of warning, I never deleted it from the app. I just yesterday got confirmation from the FAA that there is no record of it, so I was wondering if I should delete it (which I did not). I did however delete a previously disclosed discipline letter from the company regarding a no-show that I got in my first year of employment. I did this because the wording of the question says "do you have (present tense), any such letters on file..." and the answer is no. But Im now concerned if that will be looked at negatively and reduce my chances of an interview. I can certainly explain it, if asked about either one.
So I deleted it.

Question asks if you HAVE any letters of warning, etc on file. I got mine due to a ASAP event 3 years ago. Deleted my explanation last year since the letter from the FAA stated it would be removed after 2 years. So currently I have no letters of warning, etc.
So I deleted it.

I have refined my application since it went up in 2006 and conditions changed or I misread the question, corrected flight times, dates, etc.. Today, the app is 100% accurate to the best of my knowledge.
If all of those changes are tracked and impact your app in a negative way, then what is one supposed to do?

I would not think the change would prevent the computer from putting your application on the short list which gets called for an interview, but the change might get asked about. ... turn it into a positive by stating what you learned from the experience and move on.
I will say the regional airlines were much quicker to write ugly reports (letters) and throw Captains under the bus (self disclose to the FAA) for minor deviations (like maintenance or dispatcher omissions) than Delta is. Among my circle of friends nobody I know has been called in to the CPO at Delta. Among my friends at express carriers there is something or another going on every few months. I do not know if Delta interviewers adjust their expectations for the different management philosophies at other airlines.*
Not to say Delta does not keep a close eye on things, FQA and training does that. Delta just manages things in a more proactive, positive way.

Most similar apps have a change log. It would surprise me if Delta's does not.

The discipline letter was about a no show I received in my first year of employment, one week shy of getting off probation. I misunderstood the call in honest policy and basically ratted on myself so I got a missed trip. I believe those strikes go away after 12 months or so, so its definitely long gone. I have no issues disclosing and explaining it. Im just hoping I haven't put a target on myself through the application process.
I'd not sweat that. As you know, we have "call in honest" at Delta. Good luck, I think we are finally moving through applications.
