Thank you for the mention on APC. All interview prep at Aero Crew Solutions is one on one with a counselor. Your suit, AirlineApps, required paperwork and logbooks are reviewed. We give you a walk-through of the day so you can be mentally prepared. The majority of the time is reviewing the different types of HR questions. We never tell a pilot what to say at the interview prep. The recruiters know when pilots are giving canned answers. We teach you how to present your material correctly. The interview prep is video recorded and at the end you will receive a DVD copy.

The best advice I can give someone is to conduct an interview prep. Send each company an email about their services and find a company that matches your needs. If anybody has a question about Delta or our interview prep services please send us a PM. Good luck.

I did EC and Aerocrew! Aerocrew was great and definitely Delta specific! Scott has it nailed and EVERYTHING was up to date and accurate. Thanks again!

Is anyone getting CJOs without a masters yet? It seems like everyone at this point getting a CJO/hired have advanced degrees. I guess getting those once thought of as pointless non-mandatory, mandatory degrees for military promotion boards may be paying off for some.

I can't answer your question one way or another, but couldn't that just be reflective of who's been interviewing (retiring/separating mil) and that the majority of those have the "pointless non-mandatory, mandatory degrees"?

I have no idea on the stats, but I have to doubt that many of the civ-track applicants have a masters....

There have been many pilots (civilian and military) hired without a maters degree. One common theme of off the street hires is a GPA of at least a 3.3.

A few months ago it was 3.5. Glad to see the GPA trending down! A few more months and I'll be exactly who they are looking for!😀

Civilian here. On my interview day there were 5 mil and 3 civ. 2/3 civ had masters.
Of course if you dont have a Masters is not a disqualifier by any means, but all things being equal and you have a Masters, your chances are greatly improved.
BS GPA 3.6
MBA GPA 3.8
In my case, I got the MBA because I have 3 kids and could not bear the thought that I had no back up plan if I ever loose my medical, got fired, etc PLUS I knew that people with Masters degree are usually in a better position to get an invite for an interview at the Majors. It was expensive and a lot more work than I expected (Im not the brightest of the bunch) but worth it.
Its frustating for those that have not gotten the invite yet. You know you are a great guy/gal, a safe pilot, clean record, plenty of TT, TPIC, etc. There are literally thousands out there. They will call you.
My MBA does NOT make me a better pilot or person. Its an extra box that I checked on my app. Delta seems to like that box right now. Things will change as hiring moves forward. Its strictly a supply and demand game.
I have being applying at Delta specifically since 2007. Finished my MBA in 2011. Upgraded to Captain in Jan/2014. Attended Women in Aviation job fair early this year. Got the invite July 3.
I dont know what triggered my invite. I had to wait 7 years, but meanwhile I kept trying to check as many boxes that I could to improve my chances. I really wanted to work at Delta. I start Indoc in a couple of weeks. Feel extremely lucky.

I'm civ only, 9500tt, 6200 TPIC, 3.85 GPA on Bachelors and Masters degrees. Took 4 years to do both. No skeletons and can't get a call to save my life. I really wish I knew what to do.
