After an employee receives the confirmation email from HR, what is the timeline for them to actually pull and score the application? Just wondering because I just made a few changes to my app, and the email was received a week or so ago.

They say it's notification to employee within 14 days and app pull within 30..

Under 121 rules, even though you have the type rating when you come out of the sim, you aren't 'qualified' to fly for that carrier until the end of IOE.
Even if you come to carrier X with a full qualification from carrier Y, you still need to complete carrier X's qualification curriculum, including IOE.
I seem to remember a whole lot of instruction going on during my IOEs; newhire and upgrade. I hope my LCAs were logging instruction given.

Good question, maybe others can chime in as well but as far as I'm concerned, I'm not a flight instructor anymore, but rather a LCA. Yes, I provide instruction, but to guys who are technically qualified (maybe not for 121 ops) and nowadays typed on the equipment. I'm not so sure that my "instruction" is the same as dual given. Now, I do keep track of my time as a required crew member while acting in the capacity of a LCA separately... Just not as "dual given" or "instructor".
I'm all ears if someone has a different take on this.

You never add sim time to your total time. However, I would log any and all sim time in your log book-makes no difference weather its FAA certified or not as it's not counted towards total time.

The grayer area is giving line checks. I did a stint at DL as an FO that gave special airport qualifications. The CA wasn't qualified to operate into the airport... sometimes I was in the seat, sometimes I was in the jumpseat, but I was a required pilot. I ended up creating a separate column for that, as it wasn't true dual given (I wasn't the PIC), but I had to be there.
Perhaps a separate column for line checks, but you're shorting yourself if you're not logging LCA time giving OE as dual given.
