We chatted for about 20 min and told me to expect a call to setup an interview. This was my first job fair and don't know how much was BS and how much was legit. Only time will tell I guess.

It's too bad some had bad experiences with Delta...that happened to be one of my best. Not only were they the most organized as far as following the times of the FastPasses, I lucked out out and got an FO who had previously flown 135 so my background wasn't foreign territory to her. She appreciated the customer service background that comes with my kind of flying.

Interesting observation...during my time waiting for and speaking with Delta, not a single person walked up to SWA's fastpass booth. Saw one of their HR girls poke her head out more than once to see if anyone was out there.

Nope, at least that's not the carrier. Atlas did have one of the head HR reps there though. I spoke with her for a while as well.

Delta does not like us GV corporate guys-this came directly from a delta recruiter the other day. I think it's because they don't understand it.
What they fail to realize is that our type of flying is much more challenging that 121. We're not only much more experienced in international flying than some one who's just flown a light rj we are also much more customer service orientated. Were not afraid to throw a bag or help pick up the cabin. In my opinion this also holds true with the military Guys. I've flown with a few from the 89th -presidential - and I was not impressed. I realize there are many great folks from all different flying backgrounds.

Not to change topics, but what do y'all think about trying to incorporate an excellent reliability record with my current employer into the airlinespps form? Any suggestions?

That is hard to believe that DAL would separate flying like that. They understand all back rounds, and judge applicants on their ability to fit the job.

GV - at the briefing with AK he said that if you were with a large flight dept. Like Pepsi or GM no problem but that if you are at a mom and pop place with one plane and two pilots they dont know what standards you are flying to and thus score it lower. FWIW
