Bottom line: don't talk about your employer in a negative light on social media.

Yep, Oberon is right on this.

With that said, it's more common for smaller departments, who do their own direct hiring, to search social-media in order to gather information on their applicants. I have a family member that directs a department which falls into this category, and this person uses social-media searches on each applicant. AND, those searches have resulted in persons not being chosen to interview as well as persons not being hired....

The lowest I've seen come through our office had a GPA of 2.8. This gentleman had a ton of other stuff that enhanced his application.

Just saw on The Pilot Network that they had 7 of 11 CJO's today.

We actually had an endeavor captain get a bit of a scolding about this. I guess Delta called endeavor and said that one of our pilots was consistently complaining about the company and they didn’t like it.

Here's my 2 cents on the GPA conversation.

I was hired 3 months ago with a 2.75 GPA 4 year college degree in Aeronautical Engineering. No military background. No masters. So I think the type of degree is important to discuss as well.

Delta has a social media policy. Before someone jumps on forums they should make sure they understand it. If you stand on a street corner with a bullhorn shouting that your employer sucks don't be shocked if there are repercussions. I suspect endeavor also has a social media policy as do most companies.

I have a couple of questions for the Mil guys and the Interview/Resume Prep companies on this board. When you include Other time on your application it will increase your aircraft total time, does it matter that your aircraft total time doesn't match the total time on the "Flight Time by Flight Conditions" page? Since Other time is not considered Day or Night, I did not include it on the "Flight Time by Flight Conditions" page. Will this discrepancy bring up any red flags if my app gets scored?

I didn't include any "other" time. I don't remember what the app website said, but I'm pretty sure DAL doesn't count "other."
