You decided to take the interview now? With your job already you have nothing to lose. If it's not an absolute must to jump over I'd do what you are saying....if you feel you absolutely need to make the jump I'd spring for the rst job test gouge. The cog tests are pretty much the same as a post deployment mental health test

I have a really good schedule at Southwest right now and will start driving to work in a couple months and I can deal with a crappy first year at Delta, but I'd like to know how PBS works for ATL guys in year 2 and beyond.
I'm approaching my second year at Southwest and with enough creativity and work I can get my schedule to about 12-13 days a month, all weekdays, and mostly 3 day trips or less. I know our schedule flexibility is hard to beat, but don't know a lot about schedules at Delta for guys that commute.

Yeah that was my thinking too man. I have nothing to lose by going on the interview and totally frustrated with how negotiations are going at Southwest, but I just can't stomach the thought of commuting to ATL/NYC for the next 33 years of my life. I would love to see some screenshots of the narrow body schedules guys have at year 1, 2, 3, etc at Delta. Curious to know the number of days worked and how many trips are commutable on both ends?

You guys are in a much better position to get released by the NMB to take the self-help measures required to get a great contract. You also have the "parking the MAX" that will move things along.
We are years behind you contract negotiating wise...do not jump to Delta because your getting discouraged with negotiations!

Your pay, retirement, and upgrade time crushes ours. And I'm afraid our fearless leader is positioning our airline for another merger/acquisition. Should we buy someone like JetBlue my 10-15 year upgrade could turn into a 20+ year upgrade.
So I would say the the fear of us buying someone is my number 1 driving factor leading to me possibly make the jump to Delta.

If you live in Tampa to me it's a easy choice. I would stay at SWA. If you have prior international experience and loved it I might consider the move. Keep in mind that commuter pilots are often the most bitter and frustrated I fly with.

As stated above, it depends...I'm on a 3 day right now. I've been here less than two years and almost all I've gotten here lately are 3 days. This month, 3 of my 4 trips are 3 days. Last month, half of my trips were 3 days and the other half were 2 days.
