No reason to prep. You get another chance 6 months later.

But I'll prep because getting hired at Delta is a second job to me.

Why in the world would anybody who is serious about landing a major airline job want to go into an interview and wing it is mind numbing.

People do it all the time because they are too cheap and too lazy to put forth the effort and foolishly walk away empty handed.

The interview test portion is no joke. When you see fighter pilots walking away with tears in there eyes because they did not meet the cut it's humbling to say the least.

This is not the type of interview you want to wing. What good is it to get all excited about the opportunity and drink the Kool Aid the day of the interview once you finally get there only to realize you could of been better prepared hoping it all works out.
Calm down. When I posted that I was 90% sure I didn't want the job and once I was 100% sure I decided to cancel the interview.

Sure I could have gone on the interview and then made my decision, but once I was POSITIVE I didn't want the job I saw no point in taking an interview slot, putting in the bull**** work for some bull**** tests, using 60k hotel points, and missing my sons first day of school. It took me a long time and a lot of research to come to that conclusion, but I'm confident I made the right decision for my situation.

I appreciate all of the Delta guys on here who took their time to answer my questions. Thanks fellas.

Any if you hook the test, someone with your qualifications would have no trouble finding a top-flight job in either the food service or housekeeping industries.

Cool story.

Had to ditch, eh? Well, the double breasted horse blanket should keep him warm until the Coast Guard arrives.

LOL yeah OK.

If a kid's first day of school (which for you is what, a 30 minute ride/drop off?) is even the slightest factor in deciding wether or not to change a multimillion dollar lifelong career, then why even fill out an app in the first place?

Who wants an interview in the spring or fall anyway, what with the weather so nice outside and all! Maybe a Monday is OK, but have to check the calendar to make sure it doesn't conflict with Monday Night Football. Or a cool lunar eclipse. Better time it so its the week after your normal haircut schedule too, otherwise that's an additional hassle.

So are you not ever going to interview at Delta? Or are you delaying the interview until you have a chance to study/spend time with your family?

Interview is cancelled. My decision was made before I cancelled it obviously. Some people suggested still going on it, but I did not see the point if I knew for sure I would not take the job.
