that piece of mind to give 2 weeks notice with a cleared to train email in hand would be nice.
its great that they say not to worry, and I am sure they mean it.

but knowing is better than not having to worry

I agree... but I think we (20 Feb) all got cleared today along with some others from 11 March. Giving my 2 weeks tomorrow! Things are heating up!

I had to request to move up my retirement a month earlier--took about a week to get an answer back from HQ. For AF, they need a memo from commander that they know they will not get a backfill if released early. Now I have about 10 days to outprocess.

Fantastic! I've never heard of anyone actually changing a retirement date once set. I guess you're not going to have to be training on terminal leave or permissive TDY, HUH?

Taking normal leave for indoc then return on a Thursday...load up house over weekend...and then go on 86 days of terminal. Was hoping to have a month or two off this summer but couldn't pass up the opportunity and double pay keeps the family happy. Feel very fortunate that my timing has worked out and excited about the next phase of life with Delta.
