Interviewed 28 May, just received the call for the 22 July class. Still expecting a 50 person class.

So at ATL, of the 88, 320, 717 and 737, which one would be off reserve soonest?

7/7 Class just got their vacancies:

ATL 320 F/O 13
ATL 717 F/O 13
ATL 73N F/O 4
ATL M88 F/O 20

I didn't think they were going to send them out after the spam blocker issues in the 6/2 class, but this is nice! I mean all ATL comes as a shock but most of my class will be happy with this.

I'm in the 7/7 class; was hoping for DTW. I have heard from several others that it is usually fairly easy to swap bases as later vacancies are made available. Does anybody know how this process works during training? Is it all done in Icrew?

There is no swapping bases. You have to bid when there's an AE. It's done in icrew. Avoid the 88 as there is no 88 base in DTW.

Any AE's that come out while you are in training you can bid on as long as it's not a equipment change. They are posted for 10 days then locked. Results come out a day or two later. Don't bid the 88 if you want DTW since none our based there. It should not however be hard to get it. Should be another AE mid July.

If you want DTW dont bid the 717 expecting a quick move. People from the Jan 27 class on the 717 are still in ATL waiting for DTW vacancies. Many more behind them also waiting for DTW.
Airbus/73N have April new hires already transferred into DTW on those fleets

That's probably because they'v been putting all the 71 slots into ATL. They said they will start a big buff in DTW in upcoming bids this year, and since they will all be growth positions I don't think anyone would have a problem getting it. I doubt there is a very large backlog of ATL 717 that wants DTW. Certainlly not more than one or maybe two monthly AE's worth.

OTOH if you are trying to snipe with extreme precision which exact fleet will get you there one bid sooner, that's anyone's guess. I'd still say the 717 will get you there pretty quick as well as with a steady stream of junior pilots below you for a long time.
