That's how you create animosity, by having two sets of pilots under one contract. Much like a B scale.

The new acronyms can be a pain for new guys, here's a quick/applicable primer.

DAL -- company
ALPA -- national union
DALPA -- Delta pilot ALPA
DPA -- Grass roots effort at independent Delta union

So technically you are right, it would cost DALPA nothing to raise 190 rates but since they don't pay us (exactly the opposite being true) not really feasible .

Thanks! I've been trying to slowly decipher the new language. What is TA? It appears to be the contract between the pilots and Delta 🤔?

Endeavor was supposed to send 10 a month, so it sounds like that was likely the no-show. Can anyone confirm?

Default DAL Transition 101

Are there any products out there (websites, papers) for making the transition from military life?

Use the airline folks in your training class as much as possible. Unless they're total a-holes, they'll be a great resource. If you know any other military types that have come across (which i'm sure you do) I'd ask them how they made the transition. I'd imagine the biggest difference will be getting the jet from the gate to the runway..after that it should be much more familiar. I'm an airline guy and I have no idea how DL procedures run, so I'll be learning that as well. Ground Metering, Clearance Delivery, PDC, all that crap..I've got that, most days.

You'll be assigned a new hire mentor in Indoc as well and they should be very helpful. They usually assign previous mil to new mil transition so there is a good frame of ref.
It really varies quite a bit depending on the fleet you start out in as to level of automation and checklists. Initial will feel like a firehose of delta acronyms and required faa lessons and they will touch on quite a bit but understand that a lot of the admin will come later so don't be too wrapped up about logging into Icrew or bidding as much as you should focus on learning your new airplanes flows and limitations. Welcome aboard.
