Funny, DPA has said the opposite. They stated a divided pilot group can't negotiate effectively and for that reason they would not continue a effort to get rid of ALPA if a majority of pilots had not signed enough cards to have a election done at least a year before openers are exchanged. Very weird they don't listen to themselves. Did they put out a chart on how much money they think they cost each pilot on the last contract? How much will they cost on the next one?

The only way we can win is to shine a light on the insiders who cut the deals behind our backs.
Like we did with CDOs.
We must not repeat the huge mistakes made in C2012.
No backdoor deal this time ignoring the MEC,

It's hard to talk about DPA in anything but the past tense, so let's be kind and simply say it was a failed attempt at representing the group, that captured legitimate anger, and diverted it into misplaced trust.
We have a CBA, warts and all. I think pilots will be much better off getting some wart remover, and paying close attention to the action. Hoping that TC will suddenly stop drooling on his shirt and start speaking coherently looked like a poor strategy... three years ago.
If individual Delta pilots are going to bet on someone to do the right thing, I submit they'd better bet on themselves, and start by taking an activist role in supervising the union.

You do nothing but tear people down. Anyone who has an original thought you try to brand with a label.
Give me one thing you have ever contributed to the pilot group, or even this board? I will give you a helpful hint, calling people DALPA operatives isn't it. And that's the thing with you, you are a spiteful, small minded poster, trying to paint a negative picture of everyone you disagree with.
There are a lot of really smart people that contribute to our group and on this board. I'm not that bright but I know one thing for damn sure, I'm smarter than you. And when you come on here and try to diminish their idea's by name calling and belittling their thoughts it should be called out for the BS it is.

Nobody says to a dog, “I’m smarter than you!”
Why not?
Because they know they are smarter.
Therefore, people only say, “I’m smarter than you!” when they know they are not.
So the next time someone says, “I’m smarter than you!” just smile and thank them for the compliment.

How nice. Perpetuating ALPA-DPA circle-jerks.

We can do both. We must bring pressure from all corners. Like we did on CDOs.
The DPA survey tells a great deal. 98% of our pilots desire to keep or increase our profit sharing. They want major improvements in intl scope. Large increases in hourly rates and DC.
Take the survey. Make ur voice heard.

DPA was kind enough to provide us with this chart that DALPA wants no pilot to see. Please make copies and post in all our bases. Many pilots have no idea how far we have fallen.
I'm sure our ememies will rip them down, so make lots of copies. Together we can get the historic C2015 we deserve. Everyone needs to join the fight.

I'm a Delta pilot, that supports ALPA, and is personally:
1. For keeping our profit sharing the same
2. Against SDP's unless the restrictions are so tight that the company wouldn't want them anyways (1.5 hour block max each way NOT waiveable by DALPA, 8 hours block in to block out NOT reducible, pays 10:30 pay AND credit since it's 2 days, etc)
3. Is expecting Delta pilots to share in the wildly profitable upside the company is enjoying right now. Profitability that we facilitate 24/7/365
Am I the enemy?

Can you clarify for me exactly who you/DPA think the enemy is?

Say what you want. I don't believe anything about Carl as far as I could throw your airplane. You have a track record of defending him even when you know he is full of ****. So why wouldn't you do that here? Attack my judgement and character all you want. And maybe my statement concerning you was a little over the top, I'll stand by my assessment of Carl Spackler all day and twice on Sunday. I guarantee you he is laughing his ass off at the idiotic ER deal that gives him another few months of artificial seniority... but nooooo he is in it for the good of the Delta pilots. GMAFB

I know Carl. I think very highly of him. Haven't read everything he's ever posted here but have never seen anything from him that was a lie. He has a different opinion from yours on a whole host of issues, but I'm not aware of any "lies" he has told.
So why don't you post a few examples, T? You know... put up or shut up?

Yes. We've been over this, but I still think it was a good enough deal, that positioned us for where we are today, and on our current timeline.
Does voting yes on C2012 make me the enemy? Is anyone who disagrees with DPA the enemy?
I STRONGLY suggest you guys think hard about what you'd like to accomplish and find a constructive way to get there.
All I'm hearing from Jerry is what we can't let happen. Not what we must achieve. He's trying to play defense against the wrong opponent. Unless of course you guys are convinced that your fellow Delta pilots (me) are the enemy.

That is all you will ever hear from them. They have a goal, and that's it. No strategy whatsoever. Just rhetoric, to wit: "cost neutral". A meaningless phrase to which they have attached their banner in order to show that dALPA has been an abysmal failure. Arms folded, threats and breath held will get us so much more. C'mon man!
