Nowhere near enough to carry the day on their own. I care about all the demographics, including short timers and dead zoners. But we have GOT to get out of the mindset of selling hard won work rules just to get something today. No one in their last few years should have any reasonable expectation of canibalizing an existing contract just to get paid more themselves today. That's PRP insanity on steroids. |

A 20% raise right now with no concessions
Every other pilot group in negotiations is taking its time to get the right deal. Yet Dalpa arrogantly thinks those guys are wrong, and Dalpa is right to be in a rush. It's like the idiot who loses his group on the trail, and says to himself: "everybody is lost but me!" |

TVM is a valid point, up to a point.
But you also have to consider the time cost of concessions. If the rumors are even 1/4 true about what's being given up, it is WAY better to wind the watch and wait as long as it takes, even 3-5 years, rather than eating layered deep concessions for a paltry slightly higher than inflation paid for raise. Not even close. Easy button. Carl |

Incorrect.
The 18 month window is protection for us in this situation. It keeps management from giving, say, 29% of the employees raises every six months to circumvent a review for us. If more than 30% of the other employees get raises next year, it will trigger a review for us. Between that and the profit sharing, I don't understand why we'd rush into something right now. The PS completely neuters any "Time Value of Money" argument. Hmmmm. So I wonder if one of the concessions is getting rid of that too? |

But even if I was paid equal to 320 pay as a 717 FO, it doesn't mean I won't jump ship just because there is no pay difference. Sometimes I just want a change of scenery. And maybe, no yoke. Sick of yokes. Something like dual (or three!) fleet qual. Crap. |

Call and E-mail your Reps
Guys,
Please call and E-mail your Reps ASAP. Let them know what you think. Call and E-mail your friends and tell them to call and e-mail their reps. If this TA is a Turd, and we still don't know for sure, and it goes to Memory Rat it will be hard to reject, but it can still be shot down the Pilots. I looked around in C-12 and saw our competition with BK contracts and us basically bargaining against ourselves. I voted yes in C-12 but if even a few of these rumors are true I am a No vote this time. Different environment, much, much higher expectations. I sure I am not alone in this regard. Call/e-mail your reps now! Scoop |
Ditto Scoop. A MUCH different environment. I've emailed all my Reps.
