I haven't shaved. I haven't brushed my teeth. I haven't showered. My phone keeps ringing....but I'm just ignoring it. That's how p@#%*d I am at this deal. Why on Earth are we giving concessions on sick leave? Why are we carrying Dr's notes into the Docs office...like 3rd graders? You want to encourage people to fly sick? What if the illness is mental (Germanwings)? You want to give up 50% of your profit sharing above 2.5B? If you are an FO, what are you doing even considering this "deal?" You want your already dismal bid package to get further watered down by LCA's taking trips away? I could go on, but why? |

I'm surprised the company is even willing to speak the F word (FedEx) during our own negotiations...with their safe and enormous retirement, and their ratio of WB to NB flying. 777 pay rates don't mean much if you're on a 717, 88, 320, etc.

No way do they get 65 percent. Isn't that what C2012 got? Every single person that voted no for C2012 will vote no to this. Add in some yes voters turned no. I'm honestly not sure this passes through the MEC.

I think you need to recheck your numbers.
FedEx 777: $261/hour DAL 777: $311/ hour on amendable date; $330/ hour 2018 (plus profit sharing) FedEx 767: $261/hour DAL 767: $260 an hour on amendable date, $276/ hour 2018 (plus profit sharing) FedEx 757 $225/hour DAL 757 $260/hour on amendable date, $276/hour 2018 (plus profit sharing) The above is based on the FedEx pay sheet on this website. I'm not sure if they are accurate. I also don't think they have profit sharing, but I'm not sure. To be honest, I hope they do beat us. But they've been in mediation for years. It would take a huge raise just to beat us, and of course a bigger one to beat us by 20%. I wish them luck (very sincerely). |

FDX is three years into this. They will get a 20% bump. So your 767 will be 20% less, or more. And they still have an A-plan which trumps any PS. $135,000 per year after 25 years. FOR LIFE.
And my A-plan didn't trump much! Although, you are correct that FedEx has a great one. That said, I think I'd prefer 16% b-plan and profit sharing. I suppose that it all depend on your age, risk-tolerance, investment returns, and whether you got burned on a pension already. I do think that if we're comparing, we should do so accurately and not discount our 16%. |
Has anyone seen a supposed total dollar "value" of this TA over it's duration for us?
Curious what they say it is. |

What about their 757s or 777s?

Curious what they say it is. They wouldn't have a problem with that, would they? |

Hey,Guys. I am a brand-new member to this forum. I have never, ever logged on or posted anything until now. In the interest of full disclosure, I'm a PMNWA 1995 hire. I am a solid "NO" vote on this turkey, but that's not why I posted.
I just want everybody to be safe when we go to work. Don't give the MFs the ammunition to further denigrate our profession. The last thing we need is to have an incident or accident because of distraction in the cockpit. I hope I'm not insulting anyone's intelligence, I don't mean to preach. I just know my own limitations! I personally plan on making the cockpit a "TA-free" zone for a while. Good luck, Fellas... I hope this finally makes us a "Union" again........

I'm a first time poster. I have voted yes to every contract placed in front of me since I was hired in '98. So, my bar is low.
However, this is so underwhelming, I can't even begin to express my shock. It's an easy 'NO.' It's normally voters like me that give you a narrow victory. This TA is going nowhere. I'd prefer to keep the old deal.

Hopefully the reps will send it back. |
