I am not too good at math (well, I do fly for Alaska!), but that is only 17 days?!

Guess RA told them he needs it done before 2nd Quarter #s come out.

I think we are being unfair to the MEC. They know how to reject things. I heard from a fly on the wall that the following were some of the rejected C2015 TA bumper sticker slogans by our MEC. Way to go, guys! (Couldn't get strikethrough to work on the forum. Work with me.)

Holding the Line on Scope

Protecting Hard Fought Gains

Taking Delta for All They've Got!

Trading 190s for Widebodies

Self-Funding - This Time We'll Own It!

Because Self-Monitoring Sick Leave is Such a Hassle

Our Chance to Give Back

Aircraft Freezes are Cool

We're For Change

Because Delta Can't Manage This Airline Without Us

We Love to ***** - And it Shows

Work Rules are Over-rated

Winning!

Finding Ways to Get You Out of the House More

Sacrifices Rewarded

Investors - $6 Billion - New Profit Share Trigger = Awesome!

Restoration at Long Last

Eliminating LCA Trips? Where Do I Sign?

There were other suggestions that didn't get voted on, but our MEC held strong on these. When the winning entry was offered, it passed 11-8:

We Meant the NEXT Next Time!

I hate to admit this may be a point. The union did "the best" they could with this TA, so why would we expect anything different from them if we vote this down.

I'm with Denny Crane on the math, this is like a 3% raise vs getting parked for the duration.

Sorry, I don't call in sick really ever, so I have to leave that one to the rest of you.
The rest is kind of 'meh' for me as well.

Thanks Pal!:)

I would caution you on your opinion towards sick leave. You just never know what's going to happen....... Better to be safe than sorry on that one.

Denny

APCF FAQ ABOUT TA2015

Let me try this.

If you have a question about the TA or see a good question and you don't want it lose in the avalanche of posts, send me a PM and I'll save it on to this word document.

If we get a DALPA answer, in all fairness, I'll post it. You can of course write a follow up question if you don't like the answer.

I like it, especially the question about a slow C-152 replacing 5 A-380's :D

Denny Crane 06-11-2015 08:11 PM

FTB here's a question. How much will the new definition of PTIX effect Profit Sharing?

Okay, several more questions added.

APCF FAQ ABOUT A 2015

I'll be gone all day tomorrow, or at least most of the morning and afternoon. PM me and I'll get the rest of the questions.

Dalpa said they came to a separate resolution of the JV grievance. I think that's an outright falsehood. If they did, then everything in the contract would be in the grievance settlement. This now begs the question: What is in the rest of the JV settlement? What happens if the TA is rejected?

Denny

Well the JV settlement, which we don't know what the details are yet, and this TA obviously means parking 757's and swapping them for 737-900's, adding 20 E-190's, and our JV partners getting widebodies.

Yeah for us!

Yeah for us!

Here are 4 good quotes:

  1. Virgin Atlantic [VA.UL] plans to decide within six months on how to replace seven Boeing 747s it flies from London’s Gatwick airport, and could expand its overall fleet in the process, the British airline’s chief executive said Thursday.
  2. When Virgin Atlantic decides, he said, the order “will be replacement, plus."
  3. Virgin’s service to Detroit is part of a broader expansion of the airline’s trans-Atlantic service in collaboration with U.S. airline Delta Air Lines, which owns a 49 percent stake.
  4. Virgin has shifted more planes to trans-Atlantic routes this year after shutting down service to certain other destinations, including Mumbai, Vancouver, British Columbia, and Capetown, South Africa.

If you are even considering voting yes, just remember this.

The elites are laughing at our ineptitude.

In a Wednesday research note, JPMorgan analyst Jamie Baker called the deal "a welcome revision to the industry's most generous profit sharing program."
