A lot of hot air and little in regard to plan b. One participant suggests that re engaging the company is plan b. I agree.
Now let's take the next step. Does RA reward the Delta pilots and capitulate? Or does he say lets see what the NMB says?
Everyone voting no should have an opinion here. Let's hear them. If you want a yes voter like me to consider your view you have to show me how it ends. I can show you how a ratification ends. I realize it's the future and unknowable as such, but you have to have a realistic idea of a timeline and result in order to make sure it's worthwhile.

Then when you go to save it not just to you computer but to your One Drive Personal on Word. If you haven't set up a Microsoft account you can do it from that point. Then once it's on your one drive account it's on the internet. Now you can go FILE -> SHARE -> and GET A SHARING LINK. Do the view only, so nobody messes with your stuff.

The NMB boogeyman schtick is getting a little old. Even if it was certain we didn't get one penny more after being parked I would vote no. If I'm going to get boned I'm gonna at least keep my pride intact. RA doesn't scare me or dazzle me with his smile, but I do respect his business savvy. That doesn't mean I'll lay down for him.

Ok. That wasn't so bad. So if I'm reading this right we will likely have to win this going through the NMB. Timeline probably undefined. That's the risk really I suppose. Do we get enough in a timeline that doesn't eat up any gains we achieve. I think we can all agree that beyond 18 months the numbers get real ugly. We will have to hope that the NMB agrees that our position is sound and management's position is unreasonable.
Short of that, we need to see capitulation from the company. We haven't seen capitulation from the others currently engaged with NMB. SWA really hurting right now from a TVM perspective.
Do SWA, UPS, and FedEx move if we shoot this down? Why would they? Could we join them waiting for someone to push the bar upward. On the other hand, if we ratify will their managements commit to the new standard? More importantly would the NMB now see our industry leading contract as the new reasonable position? If so, we could see those carriers break the NMB hold and advance. This would bode well of course for us 2.5 years down the road when we are back at it again.
Thoughts?

So first, I am a 2014 hire, recently off probabation, so this is my first union experience. SO be easy on me if I am asking a silly question!
Read through all the red change items in the TA commuting in today and noticed they have redone all the math for reserve levels. Its all greeek and could not make out whether it means they will carry more reserves on any given day or less. But combined with the LCA change, it has me concerned. The LCA change may push me back to reserve. I know you're all crying about the 3 months I had to stand reserve, but now that I have a line, I realize its a much better way to live! They haven't changed the x-day tables, but if they raise the number of reserves required my ability to say move x-days for example, pretty much goes away I would think. Opinions?
I also read the 5+15 daily credit language....and I sure don't interpret it the same way the company has applied it! I can fly a 4 day trip with a 30 hour LO, and say the 3 days I do fly are 6 hours block each. My math (6+6+6+5+15) comes to 23+15. But what I see is 21 with 3 hours credit. I know it is not something that is changed in this TA, but what am I missing that obviously makes the math more complicated than a lowly MD-88 FO can figure out.....

so I don't know why the rush, but I do know RA doesn't do things for no reason. Let's send it back and sloooow way down. I doubt DAL will stop making money just to cut into our profit sharing while we re-group i.e. getting rid of some Quislings in the Association.

He's here to troll and get people riled up. Don't even quote him.
There are plenty of people here who are voting yes and are real Delta pilots. Just stick to them.
