We are done falling for that old line.
We are not operating the E190's and have no plans to. The C Series (program now encountering severe supplier delays) might show up in 2018. If that was the Captain slot someone wanted (@ $204 an hour + PS) the career progression, in a desirable base, was pushed at least 2 years.

... and while everyone called that a B scale, it was $20 an hour more than the 2011 Boeing 747 rate brought to the merger. With the effect of profit sharing make it $60 an hour more than the super-premium widebody captain seat which I'll never be able to hold.

I get that some in your camp simply hate all things Delta. Once one realizes the lenses you look at the world through, your platform makes perfect sense.

In doesn't matter if it is a E190 or C series. Plan B, C, etc, was always the Delta pilots flying MORE jets when they voted down allowing more 76-seat jets to be outsourced. Plan A is management's goal to outsource more, not less. Thankfully more and more of us see that.

The sooner you get off your high horse that DPA pilots hates Delta the better. DPA is comprised of pilots from all former airlines. In fact the first pilot who told me he was a DPA pilot was former Delta. Yeah, DPA is Delta haters

DPA pilots want restoration for all pilots. They want more restoration than DALPA has stood for. DALPA is on a razor thin edge to deliver on this one.

... and that is no foundation for success.

We should want our bargaining agent on granite bedrock, broad and deep

. . . I err on the high side because management always low balls us.

WRT JV scope brought instantly in compliance and converting to block hours.

It is not only the lost widebody positions, but the waterfall those upgrades would cause.

Getting this right is everything. We must have instant compensation for management being out of compliance.

No waiting years. No grievance.

Rock solid language. We could easily give up a Billion here over the next decade.

The same meaningless language will crush our future. Well not us old farts.

I'm fighting for you young pilots and our profession.

Scope is everything in this deal.

Speak up.

That's a really weak way of "showing your math" in the $300M assertion. "Got the numbers from a person on the DALPA admin." Really? That's right up there with "my dog ate my homework". That does NOT prove that it's accurate!

In fact, you admit that you erred on the high side (because the company errs on the low side?) You sound like the little boy in the backseat of his car telling his dad "well, Timmy hit me first"

And for the rest of your response, merely rehashing the same gzsg talking points which have NOTHING to do with proving that your original post in this thread was accurate does nothing to enhance your credibility.

Thank you for demonstrating, to my satisfaction, that you really don't care at all about accuracy in your posts. It's all about maximum posts, and minimum need for the truth for gzsg.

Nothing

Oh, and I love how you gloat how your profit sharing check will be better if we outsource 50 more 76-seaters. You do realize that direct increase in Profit Sharing is directly due to a pilot making sub-par wages to fly newly outsourced 76-seat jets. How nice of you to be excited about that.

And those plans involve mainline pilots flying 76-130 seat jets if no more are allowed to be outsourced. Outsourcing more 76-seaters just allows them to implement their plan to outsource more jets, longer.

Both of you are completely incorrect.

ALPA's implementation of "Scope Choke" in C2012 has been very successful. History and results prove that. Concourse C in ATL was dominated by RJs now is dominated by mainline jets. Delta upgrade is now faster then most regionals. With the 717 came hiring in historic amounts.

United also implemented Scope Choke about a year later and they too will see the transformation that is seeing from the recapture of regional flying very shortly.

Meanwhile at AA, Scope Choke was not implemented and mainline has hiring at a much slower clip. Even with the delivery of new jets, AA mainline airframes has shrank while regionals grow.

Scope Choke is not pulling up the ladder, it's extending it.

You may be too important to fly small jets. That is how we got in this mess in the first place.
I want that flying to come back to us, however, I'm not surprised that you misread my message while viewing everything through your DPA goggles.

13500/13500 = 19/19 = 1 voice

11734/13500 ~ 7/12 = unfocused & unable to close a deal

You just made us a little further from unity and further from a deal. You aren't putting pressure on ALPA. You are undermining your bargaining agent and adding one of a thousand cuts.

If you hate all things Delta, kudos. You just succeeded in a very small way towards of your goal of making this a miserable unrewarding place to spend a career.

Was it our "Scope Choke" or was it the fact that this industry has been in a decade long slump and not as many young people have decided to make it a career making it hard for the regionals to find pilots.
