I thought the dues rate was 1.90%?

Oh well. Those "folks in Herndon" include the E&FA analysts that we use at the table, an ERISA attorney, and a Membership Dept to ensure pilots eligible to vote get the chance to - including the group that became Active members during the balloting window

Why can't all those things just happen in the ether? Why should be have to pay other union workers with no split loyalties to do those things for us?

Looks like we'll be getting another dues refund. Waiting for the griping about that, too.

Mega million$ -- all dumped into the black hole in Herndon.

Its seriously time to lower our dues rate.

I suppose the lawyers will find a way to get it. They always do.

Either that or there's gonna be one helluva Christmas party up there in DC this year.
Per the ALPA Administrative Manual, the dues ALPA receives is broken down into four accounts: MEC Account, Administrative and Support Account, Operating Contingency Fund and the LEC Account.

As a large carrier MEC, 33.33% of that dues income is allocated to your MEC. So 1/3 of the dues collected from the retro payment will be allocated to the Delta MEC account.

Is there a stated percentage split for chicken/beef or wine/beer expenditures at DALPA events?

I had the beef sandwich at the last council meeting. I wonder if I'm still in good standing?

No alcohol but I did have 2 cans of diet coke. I think my $600ish retro dues should cover it but I'll have a salad next time just in case.

I'm thinking:
[Nov 30 "FLT ADV" plus NOV 15 "FLT PAY" (both YTD)] x 18%
I think I read somewhere that the Dec 15 paycheck will be paid at old rates so you'll need to add that in before you start the calculations....but in essence, you are correct! But don't forget to multiply that big number by 1.15 to figure your DC which will be added to that previous big number!

Only if you've hit the max 415c limit, right? Otherwise, that money will be deposited in our 401k account.

Of course. Why wouldn't you?

You should get the full retro difference between training pay rates. Plus I assume the 401k money on that amount too.

True dat! Look at the months you were in training and and take the difference in new training pay (retro 2016 training pay). The month you converted to line pilot from OE can be discerned from the PAS on the Self Service page. It will show the training pay amount and the Flight Pay/Flight Advance.

I find a lot of pilots are adding a extra month to the retro. The Jan 16 pay check is for flying performed in Dec of 15 and will not be included. There will be 10 months of retro.
