The list goes on and on and on, still cringing at that article.
Years ago, one of our aircraft wound up taxing onto an active runway with a plane taking off, while distracted with an engine start.

an assistant chief at compass years back got so far as applying take off power with a group of deadheaders in the back who heard them start up after getting off the runway.

Shouldn’t the person starting the engine not be taxiing? Seems like a crew issue rather than a problem single engine taxiing. I was LGA based for years and always briefed engine start plans whether left or right seat. If folks have an issue managing an engine start, they might not be cut out for turbine aircraft flying.

Correct, you have numerous breakdowns that would lead to a runway incursion when performing a delayed engine start. My point is, that at the end of the day it is the PIC decision to single engine taxi or two engine taxi. The case of the CRJ if you are single engine taxiing or two engine taxiing unless your taxi time is in the range of 20-30 plus minutes there is no savings.

Thank you guys for being a great work group, I enjoyed it and still miss it. But the quality of life I have back home is something I've missed for years.

It's a chronic problem on the 175 with several operators.

The dude in question was on the 145 at TSA at the time. He became our DO at CPZ. Legendary MW. On just about every yoke clip we had.

We have some weird chart holder trends here. We have a few captains (I guess) that print their own custom cartoon stickers and stick them on the back of the holders. It seems like way too much work and expense for so basic a joke, but hey, whatever

Most just used a pen or sharpie at CPZ but you would find the occasional flying peen stickers (a literal phallus with wings). Those always gave me a chuckle.
