Interesting that it’s only you running into these issues. Yet you haven’t responded to a single one of the comments asking you to give examples of this 117 abuse, abuse by scheduling in general, or codomicile issues.

It seems like you are the only one seeing these “issues”. Perhaps some introspection is called for here?

Have never gotten called by a CP. Or a RCM or... anyone, except scheduling. Ever. Abuse? If you are getting “abused” here at EDV, it’s probably because you are lacking something in the flying or personality skills departments. Never busted FAR 117. Have flown in the 30 minute extension window maybe 2-3 times a year.

I won’t even respond to your ignorant comments about flow. Perhaps you should have considered Envoy a bit harder prior to coming here. There’s a LOT of reasons to come here outside of a flow, and I would say the full classes and slowing of hiring to catch back up in training are a strong testament to that fact.

I wouldn't say I'm a Koolaid drinker, and things are definitely not perfect, but they could be a whole lot worse, at least for me. That said, it will be interesting to see how the general DCI situation develops over the course of the next year or two...

Never gotten a chief pilot call. Even had a no show to sim event that was handled very well by everyone with no discipline. Two 117 refusals...didn't get a call. Either I'm very lucky or youre exaggerating one incident you experienced. Endeavor has problems but a punative culture is not one in my opinion. But to each their own, maybe it's a base thing.

If you don’t like us. You don’t have to be here. Never heard or seen any of this heresay being posted. We aren’t a perfect company but I’m overall happy with my time here. Things can always be improved but I’m not here being treated like a 3rd class citizen.

In two years I've:

Never been extended
Never been delayed into a day off
Never been Junior manned
Never been called by a CP/ACP
Never had a 117 issue

I have averaged 17.5 days off so far this year
I have credited over 100 hours every month this year
I have got every day I've ever bid for off
I have found open time every month

And most importantly, I have enjoyed my time here.

That might not be your experience.

But as disingenuous as it would be to say that new hires will fare as good as me, it's just as misleading to say they will fare as poorly as you.

I take the good with the bad. And what you aren't seeing in my post are the 200 things I don't like about this job/company. If you focus on the bad things I get the feeling this industry will chew you up and spit you out. For perspective, check out the RAH thread from the guy thinking of quitting the industry. Some people aren't built to see the side of the lawn where the grass is green.

My job sucks at times but it affords me the life I want and the means to provide for my family.... All without having to ever use a stapler!!

Lord grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and wisdom to know the difference.

Might help you out......

These forums seriously need a PLUS 1 button! Your post is more elegant than mine, but I can say the same things as you, minus the 100 hrs credit per month. I think I am around 79.5 or so.

I have no idea what this guy is talking about by my experience has been completely different. No junior man's, one 30 minute extension, no CP calls. Never come close to exceeding 117. Average 17 days off this year, 85 credit average. I've really enjoyed my time here so far. I've felt like I've had control over my schedule and if I wanna do extra work I can. The stuff I read in some of the other forums makes me realize it could be far worse. The company isn't perfect but they try to make changes and have been fair.

Enjoy the good when it is good. But some of you Delta chest thumpers need to bring it down a notch.

Definitely not a Delta chest thumper. I work at endeavor and this is what I've experienced in my short time here. Hopefully things stay good for awhile.
