We could say the same thing to you. You honestly think it will? See I can do it too, and it doesn’t make either statement true with no evidence. Sorry to say something like this is way above our pay grade. So many on here thing they no everything based on 1 airline being shut down. Off the top of my head 4 airlines have been owned by Delta and only 1 was shut down. So 75% were not shut down. This seems to me that being owned by Delta does not mean we will be shut down. But yet you come on here and it sounds like it is a known fact every regional Delta buys, it shuts down. We are not Comair, we may end up like it we may not. I am not going to come here and preach that I know all and call people idiots if they are still here. So many of the former employees sound like they just want us to be shut down so they know without a doubt they did the right thing. Why not hope that things turn around here and continue to go well at the company you went to. I do not wish any ill will on those that left and call them idiots for giving up 7 years of seniority to chase an upgrade. Good luck to all and let’s stop wishing ill will on other airlines and cheering when it happens.

It appears that way, this is just from what I have heard from people that know more about it. Right now this is the only reason 9E exists.

How many of the current Captains are lifers or have failed the SSP? Numerous

How many of the current Captains have done their SSP? The Majority

How many of those 50 a month are FO's going to PSA, Compass, etc.? The majority

Ya'll have got a significant number of Left seats going to the desert and far too many Captains still on property. Downgrades on every Vacancy = numerous guys that'll be in line for the upgrade if they ever happen again.

Not that I disagree with you but the majority of people doing the SSP are going, it is the minority not getting accepted and even then those people are getting a second try. And the last vacancy had 0 downgrades. And the planes that are leaving are going to other airlines. So basically the majority of what you wrote is wrong.

Why is the majority of the people doing the SSP? Why wouldn't everyone do this?

What's the pass/fail percentage for the life of the program?

Anybody gotten it on the second try?

In the last 3 months there have been almost the same amount of CA and FO are leaving (based on on the Flt ops news handout).. CA's are leaving to other places, not just DAL. I know many CA who got turned down and are trying again or leaving for other airlines. There have been more who are told to come back in a year than the ones who gets turned down completely. Those guys who are told to come back in a year are starting to go reinterview again shortly, or trying again now. I don't know how many are lifers. There was 9 year CA who are sticking it out, and very senior guys in their 50's trying to leaving. The last 4 CA i flew with where 05 hire and are waiting on a class date at DAL. I never said there it was going to be a short upgrade. I said there will be upgrades again. It's just a matter of when.
