Because that's Delta pilot contract, not Endeavor. Ofcouse Delta has the money to pay you guys the same as Delta pilots, if they were going to pay you the same as Delta pilots, why bother keeping the WO around? They would just bring everything in house. IF you can't do it for what Delta wants to pay, they'll find someone else.

A week? In DTW? Not right now. Unless it's taking 10-11 months to complete training.

Exactly, I think that regional pilots forget about how important scope is (and that they have NO control over it). Mainline pilots gave up scope in order to keep their airline profitable and keep higher wages by outsourcing. It created an entire industry that employed tens of thousands of pilots and gave them experience. Pay could have definitely been better but there wasn't a need. Pilots lined up down the street just to work at a below average paying regional. Things are slowly changing for the better!

Longevity. When one spends 5-10 years on a crj and then gets hired at mother d , they get to put you on the md-80 at year one pay, not year 10

No FO is starting out in DTW for the past 8 months, either.

And herein lies the rub of this industry. Your experience and skills equate to squat.

Year one pay is 85/hr plus profit sharing. Year two over 120. Who cares what year pay you are? A 12 year captain at Endeavor makes the same as a first year MD-80 FO at DL. Id say it is pretty even transition.

BS. Every single CA I have talked to said they take a pay cut first year at DL, and not just at EDV. Not saying it matters much over time, but first year pay IS lower than most CAs make. Factor in lodging during training and the gap widens even more.

This comment is poisonous! and in the mean time, if you happen to get stuck at the regionals, let's not raise pay, retirement, sick time, commute priority. News flash Mike Dickta! You're still an AIRLINE Pilot!
