That didn't happen to us but we will see how it goes for ASA/XJT side. But as far as Endeavor goes, it's moving on business as usual and looking good. We are getting closer to negotiations and that brings out " the sky is falling " type of discussions. There is still whipsaw going on but I can't see that lasting much longer considering the current and future demand of Pilots.

Eventually Delta will do what it takes to keep this place staffed, whatever that entails.
Until the first 200 gets an ADS-B mod the pumpkin date on any 200 is 31dec2019... which also is the pumpkin date for the "core 81 900" flying.. our OPR numbers are good but morale in the entire company is azzhat but upper management comes once a year and passes out ribs and ice cream and thinks it's all ok.. your/our Tech Ops department is a szhitstorm and it's just swept under the rug... anyone who has been here from 2013 and prior or for the xj 2006 bk... can smell the bullszhit in the air... no kool aid here

APMechXJ, you provide some good information on the mechanical side of Canadair Regional Jets. We appreciate you. That being said, you have a very pessimistic attitude towards the other operations at the company. Your assessment that morale is low may be partially accurate, but I have also been around for a while. We are much improved from the many states the company has existed in. It's not perfect and there is no known long term defined future, but there never will be one. Feel free to continue to show up after midnight and post all the negatives that you see, but don't be offended when you don't get a concensus agreement. No one knows what lies ahead for this company, but we can hope for the best for all employees. If the present reality isn't enough, I don't know what to tell you. Make the best of it and look for better or put a smile on. We all make what we can out of life and there's only one person with total control over each individual. Hint, it isn't RG or even EB. It's you.

I have been here 20 years from Express I, Mesaba, Pinnacle, and now Endeavor... 30 years in aviation and 6 years military with 2 combat deployments along the way.. Sorry I am not all puppies and rainbows... I come in every day and bust my butt for the passengers and yes the flight crews that get on our aircraft... I do now and will always take pride in my work and craft... I have never ever put anyone on an unsafe aircraft to make a number... The company doesn't care.. they just want numbers and that's it.. they will fire your *** in a minute.. feel bad for 2 seconds and say what's next.. we (tech ops) have taken 2 paycuts for 15% and countless work rule changes... The Tech Ops crew I work with is the closest thing I have to family.. They are my family.. Something upper management will never understand... The work ethic we bring comes from each other, our hearts, and the passion for our craft... so excuse me for being a bit jaded at this point.... we come in every day and push molasses up a sandy hill with a stick and the next morning get questioned why we couldn't do it without causing a delay... I try to come on here and provide info and tech ops view from time to time... if you don't like what I say I offer no condolences.. good day.

Hope you're a good pilot, cuz you suck at being a comedian. No worries though, I'll just do like all you old timers have taught us youngsters and call in sick for the trip.

Step 1 would be to start under promising and over deliver. So often we get told "the plane will be ready in an hour", It's finally done in 2. Tell them it will be ready in 3 and have it in 2. I've been rushed out on reserve numerous times to rescue a plane only to waste half the day (if not a night away from home) waiting for it to be ready. If managers don't like that time frame, they need to get out of the office and help... just like our pilot management (including ALPA leadership) need to get out of the office and fly at least one 3 day trip a month on the line.

You think we're the only company flying airplanes without ADS-B? I'd bet money on that 31 Dec 19 date being pushed further back, especially as companies tell congress that cities will lose service if the date sticks.

Morale is bad? Where? As much as you complain, maybe its time to take a look in the mirror?

Default Bad Morale

I will admit I am jaded about the company after 20 years but I try to do my job just the same...The latest tidbit in Tech Ops (actually it affects everyone) that we just found out... we (DTW Tech Ops) have had 5 people pass away in the last year... one guys widow did not get the life insurance payout (1x annual salary insurance that everyone gets).. we just found out that if you go on long term disability and then die... that insurance policy is void (no payout).. nowhere in any handbook is that written... special huh?... I bet most employees don't know that one.

Also to those reading this forum about Endeavor and morale issues. Usually the ones complaining the most with the sky is falling comments are just a few disgruntled on this board and is not a good representation of our pilot group. I'm not trying to down play their personal experiences but it is not a good depiction of our morale nor the state of our company. There's good and bad in this profession and as someone stated before, it's what we make of it.
