Basically in the same situation with a similar question. Assuming one could hold both ATL200 and ATL900 on 17-04, what would be the fastest way out of NYC? A move date on the 200 or a training date on the 900?

Unpredictable. I've seen move days quickly after final awards and some months away, likewise for differences. I could have gotten out of my last base faster with a straight move rather than aircraft change, but overall it was worth it for the QOL.

I'd bid what you want and see what happens in the initial award. I still think a line in NY is better than rsv in a ATL (unless you live in ATL)

That's rubbish. I like the idea one poster had about giving pilots the option to take the pay rate at 83, or take the current rate plus the bonus. But that would probably make too many complications for somebody somewhere.

That works for them because it's a blended payscale, not about fleet size. Whether they fly the -9, -7, or -2, they get paid the same. And the rate goes up as more large aircraft come in (as it should). Since Endeavor has separate payscales for the -9 and the -2, that's not necessary here.

Tying payscales to fleet size is a bad idea, as it gives management an incentive to shrink the fleet size (and thus reduce payrates) down the road if a less senior, cheaper regional came along at some point down the road. Give some planes to them and their pilots who would cost less simply due to lack of longevity, and while they're at it make us cheaper as well.

I would get off the 200 as fast as possible.

I don't understand. It's disturbing that we are RNAV revoked. WTF? Complacency /checklist discipline? Be safe out there, take your time......and VERIFY!
Disturbing? I'd call it a little embarrassing maybe. If those were the only mistakes we were making I'd say we're not doing too bad. Disturbing is getting the shaker multiple times at 390 cuz u went to flight idle to slow and left it there. Disturbing is operating a flight without weather radar activated and going through whatever-T-F that flight in the latest FOU went thru. Pray I'm not on any of those flights

Yeah it's disturbing...turning the wrong way on a RNAV departure can mean collision. That's EFFING DISTURBING!

If it goes as far as a collision, yes, obviously. But there's a couple more BIG safe guards that have to fail before that happens. One, ATC has to miss it (in all cases the error was trapped here). 2, both crews would have to disregard their TCAS RAs before an actual midair went down.

I'm not advocating it's okay by any means, just simply implying that it's the lesser of the three scenarios IMO.

And no need for caps and exclamation points. My hearing is still good.

So, Air Canada wasn't disturbing because it wasn't an actual collision?
