Could downgrades result in a influx of -200 captains and FOs switching to other bases?

I don't see anyone downgrading because of this. We are gaining a net of 15 total new aircraft. The displaced pilot will be absorb through the system. But if you are middle seniority in a base it could mean being bumped back to reserve and if you are bottom you too will most likely be displaced out of base and/or aircraft. So make sure you have your bid card the way you want it. Make your second choice just below your # one.

Makes sense. I can't imagine there will be any displacements from the -900 to the -200. Really interested to see how this all shakes up. And slightly nervous being a junior -900 captain.

If displacements can go anywhere their seniority can hold, then there are only about 15 guys on MSP200 CA who can't hold MSP900 CA. Now, of the remaining people who can hold MSP9CA, about 20 people who are lineholders on the 200 who get knocked back onto reserve. Probably.

Worth noting, EV has been doing more and more MSP dual class flying as of late so it's possible we could see enough MSP flying to house almost all of the displaced 200 drivers on the 900 without changing bases.

Well, this'll be interesting to see. I'm in the last 200 class because I want Atlanta. I have virtually no seniority in the 200, but am ahead of four (5?) classes who have all gotten 900s. I just updated to put 900 first, 200 second. I don't care which one I'm on, I just want to not commute (hence, ATL).

Strange times ahead.

I don't see you getting pushed off the 900 especially in NYC. You might actually move up as guys bid to ATL and they back fill NYC.

There could very easily be some downgrades out of this but it would be the choice to downgrade to stay in MSP (as 900 FO) rather than commute to remain captain. This could potentially play out in DTW to a smaller degree depending on how those displaced choose to go. Some will displace to New York to hold on to the pay.. some will downgrade rather than commute.... Until we see the realignment notice, we won't know. Who knows, maybe all the MSP 200 pilots decide to become ATL 900 pilots and there are no forced displacements at all.

[QUOTE=TalkTurkey;2408251]Here's a cut and paste job.

Cleared direct RONNI, turned north
Cleared to MPASS, turned to a 360 degree heading after departure
Didn’t fly RNAV departure correctly
Cleared direct MPASS, departed straight out.
Pilot cleared for 27L approach, lined up to 27R
Given direct SLAWW, aircraft departed direct WALET

I don't understand. It's disturbing that we are RNAV revoked. WTF? Complacency /checklist discipline? Be safe out there, take your time......and VERIFY!

Yes and yes. Plus you can add lazy and/or stooopid. I can't see how any other environment-related issue could cause them to make that mistake.
