It will never happen, and A.K. was not the stumbling block.

At one point I heard DAL would agree to flow if the double-no's could be prohibited from flowing. This tells me that they are to a point interested. However, the terms to agree upon are not there. Every man has his price, and DAL is no different

My captain this week spoke with a NC captain that was taking the aircraft after us while I was in the flight deck listening. He did indeed say flow was at least on the table. He also said that delta was serious about getting the contract done quickly because we are not hiring what their targets are. According to him they have a time setup soon to hash out all the remaining sections and hope to be done by the end of the year but sooner than later. A few others have posted about this meeting so I hope it to be legit.

Yeah, I get it, an FO can get MSP eventually but if you're looking at the long haul, MSP is not an option.
What's ridiculous is anyone recommending Skywest.
Who are paying $30k/yr to new hires.
And also agreed to 1% raises. We can kiss any raises
Goodbye now thanks to them, as can any other Regional.

You are wrong. You weren't before, but now you are. Try to accept the change for what it is...a change in status quo. It can be taken off the table again, as it had done before, but for now, it's on the table. I said those very same words "it will never happen" but now I say, "maybe it could happen."

That kind of party division would spell disaster for all of 9E. I should hope that they don't do that. But, with some of the characters they did gain from us, I'm sure they'd be all right taking the lot of us.

Have you guys read the new FOQA email? Some scary stuff happening with 900 crews. I think it's all just newbie stuff that should work itself out after they screw it up once. I don't think the culprits will make that same mistake twice. At least I hope not.

There is one where the crew gets to 165 or so with a clean wing and the shaker comes on. I'm sorry, but there are scarce reasons for any of our jets to be flying at or below 180 with no flaps out. Look at the MFD. The flight will be over in about 15 minutes or less. You're not going to save fuel that anyone is going to care about. Put the effing flaps down! Okay rant complete.

For the 200, we don't worry about speed decay at altitude as we never retard the thrust levers after take off until it's time to descent hahaha. We just keep adding thrust the whole time.

That's correct. The flow was on the table and there was active discussion with DAL 6 months ago, however, for reasons mentioned previously it was pulled back off. However, the numbers are beginning to cause a reaction. It's funny how that works. So, as predicted, true career progression to DAL for our pilots is back on the table (as it should be). The upcoming meetings at the undisclosed location will include serious conversation on this topic, and I predict, along with quite a few others, that in the end (2018) there will be some sort of flow/staple/absorption/B-Scale to DAL. There is no doubt the landscape is changing rapidly and DAL has a vested interest in maintaining our current pilots on property. Looking forward to hearing from the MEC soon on what this will look like. The floodgates will open up when this happens and a job at 9E will be a career at DAL.

Do you mean "characters" or "turkeys"?
