That's kind of a ridiculous statement given the reason people are encouraging Skywest over EDV. It's not because OO is a better company or something like that; it's because people who want to be based in MSP are much better going to OO where MSP is a junior base. Yeah, I get it, an FO can get MSP eventually but if you're looking at the long haul, MSP is not an option.

It will never happen, and A.K. was not the stumbling block.

At one point I heard DAL would agree to flow if the double-no's could be prohibited from flowing. This tells me that they are to a point interested. However, the terms to agree upon are not there. Every man has his price, and DAL is no different

My captain this week spoke with a NC captain that was taking the aircraft after us while I was in the flight deck listening. He did indeed say flow was at least on the table. He also said that delta was serious about getting the contract done quickly because we are not hiring what their targets are. According to him they have a time setup soon to hash out all the remaining sections and hope to be done by the end of the year but sooner than later. A few others have posted about this meeting so I hope it to be legit.

What's ridiculous is anyone recommending Skywest.
Who are paying $30k/yr to new hires.
And also agreed to 1% raises. We can kiss any raises
Goodbye now thanks to them, as can any other Regional.

You are wrong. You weren't before, but now you are. Try to accept the change for what it is...a change in status quo. It can be taken off the table again, as it had done before, but for now, it's on the table. I said those very same words "it will never happen" but now I say, "maybe it could happen."

That kind of party division would spell disaster for all of 9E. I should hope that they don't do that. But, with some of the characters they did gain from us, I'm sure they'd be all right taking the lot of us.
