I wonder if that's related to the agreement to allow Delta mainline flight attendants to use our jumpseats.

From what I understand, the cause/reason for the removal of pilot high-speed/stand-up trips is due to the action/whistle of one pilot.

Good, get folks to randomly speculate. Amazing.

If it's what happened, it's what happened.

TalkTurkey, I am surprised they didn't just reschedule them to where the scheduled rest time was the minimum allowed instead of the higher amount I assume was still being scheduled after a duty buffer. Or had they already done that?

I've heard it was a whistleblower from another airline.

I heard it wasn't a whistle blower, just a pilot wanting to know by what mechanism can you convert the SDT to a CDO. Its too bad the FAA came back and said, "You can't, why is that happening?" And then the pilot said " can you give me some whistleblower protection, I'm not worried about the company, just other pilots who will somehow blame me for your interpretation." And the FAA said, "God, pilots are stupid arent they? Yeah we'll keep your name out of this."

I don’t know what I’m missing to be upset about? OO has operated in compliance with the interpretation since it came out.
It is great.

Sounds like some people need to file an ASAP.

As of this morning the FA's haven't been told. I realize this will impact a number of people who built their lives around the night shift; but for commuters this may be a blessing; with many more commutable 'late day one, early day 5' pairings.
Thoughts? I for one won't miss being lost in that labyrinthine Four Points in BVT at 4.30am...

Just because pilots are no longer doing CDOs doesn’t mean that FAs will. They’ll just have a different crew on the 2 flights
