I’ve got a September 3rd class date. Planning to stick onto NYC(super easy commute). Losing the 30 lines of flight might affect reserve/upgrade etc in the NYC area?
Also when it comes the time to bid, I have to bid for both(domicile & equipment)? My social security is not so high... 27** preferred base & equipment, NYC-CRJ9

I’ve got a class date of August 5. Just checking in to see how new hire life is going. Are folks still mainly going to NYC for endless days of reserve? I’ll be commuting out of KTPA if anyone has any advice on which base/airplane to bid. Looking forward to the opportunity.

Tpa is a very easy commute most of the time, I know several people that do it and I used to live there. You can also back door it through rdu to NYC if it ever gets weird there. (Like spring break) JetBlue is a great option to get up there also.
Good luck and welcome!

Speaking of RDU. I am going to be applying to airlines with the hopes of continuing to live in RDU. Endeavor is high on my list of 5 airlines for the 13 direct flights to each NYC and ATL. Is there a large amount commuting pilots from Raleigh to these locations or would it be a relatively easy commute?

I honestly believe it's one of the top 3 easiest commutes. I've only ever not got a seat coming home once. I jump occasionally, but I always get home. ATL is a bit harder.
