I ferried one of the “old” 700s a few days ago. The thing had been stranded in MSP with five pages of MX entries. APU was still INOP. They are still far from being reliable.

I flew one of the new to us 700’s the other day. APU was deferred along with another couple of write ups that weren’t much of an inconvenience. Over all the airplane wasn’t terrible APU deferral and all it felt like a solid airplane with tight controls sure they will have issues but planes are planes.
