considering the company went from
“everything is ok” too “40% cut” in a week, I’d assume things are changing too fast. Even if he told us the truth, it would be wrong before the paper was printed.

Leaders speak when they have information. The plan is likely changing by the hour until this thing unfolds.

That and he works with the entire DCI network. Being that Skywest and Republic have ASA’s with Delta I’m sure they’re fighting to keep all that they can. This is where being a wholly owned can bite us hard. Also, I’m not sure what the protections are in these contracts with Skywest and republic. But I would think that there would be clauses regarding events like this???

Except DG has never been a good communicator. We as captains and leaders are expected to brief our passengers when things are going wrong, even if "we are unsure of the new departure time". It's reasonable to expect the same from our management.

Leaders also speak to stop the spread of misinformation and project strength and stability in uncertain times. I can write it for him if he wants.

**Example**
I know many of you have seen the recent news and have questions about the future. I want to promise you all that your leaders are working tirelessly to determine the impacts these announcements have on you. We are in nonstop meetings with all branches of the Delta leadership and will do our best to keep you informed about how this reduction affects us. We hope to have more information by xx:xx and will update you again at that time.

There ya go

One plus of us (in a really sucky way) is that GoJet and Compass are already on their way out. The Compass folks are bracing for immediate furlough announcements.

It wouldn't surprise me if G7 and CP flying for Delta was pulled immediately. It'd probably be cheaper for Delta to pay any fines on those contracts than try to figure a way to keep those two airlines in the game over the next few months. That leaves less flying to pull from 9E, YX, and OO.
