Straight from the JCBA:
A Pilot who calls in sick during a Month in which he either added flying and/or
was awarded a line eligible for premium pay pursuant to LOA 71, Paragraph C.
(Section 3.M.7.), Maximum Line Range, will forfeit the premium portion of pay for
a number of hours equal to the number of sick hours used in that Month.
That is how it it works, plain and simple. Call in sick, forfeit premium pay for the ENTIRE month, not just the trip you called out for. If you think money loss for this punitive policy doesn't factor in a pilot's decision whether to call in or fly when they are marginal, you've got a lot to learn little buddy.

We all joke about how bad DG is at communication, but this is a staggering new level of terrible. Just think. We haven't received ANY direct communication from our CEO since the beginning of this virus. None. The last email was from "senior leadership" and the last one before that came from safety. Just impressively bad leadership.

Friendly reminder this coronavirus season: if you call out sick, the company will punish you by taking away ALL your premium pay for the entire month. Don't want anyone to have to decide between how much money they'll lose and the safety of flight and their co-workers.

No, they take away your premium pay from the previous trips you already flew. If you pick up a trip at 200% in the first part of the month, then call in sick for a regular trip later in the month, that 200% trip, drops to 100%.
