WINNER WINNER!! The chairman’s update was rather alarming. The MEC is STILL pedaling career progression?? In this environment? They’re so concerned with their dumb orange lanyards that they’ve lost complete touch with reality. Unbelievable. October 1 is going to be a big slice of humble pie for a lot of people at a lot of different companies including this one. MEC is delusional. How about focusing on job security while we still have one here rather than leveraging progression to a company that won’t be hiring for another year at least.

Unfortunately too many here forget that in times of crisis companies come after any earned benefits of the staff with a vengeance. To not sink the ship the staff gives everything and the MGT still torpedos the ship. If they want concessions we need some time n writing benefits for us.

Anything negotiated before a bankruptcy, can and will be eliminated in bankruptcy; It's a permanent reset.

The MEC can negotiate SILs for cost savings, forget about the flow, any other concessions, or loaded incentive items. Skywest even has SILs, but we can't have them because......mainline FA union issues.

What is criminal is that a company accepts the Cares Act and all the money that goes along with it and turns around and says we have to keep your wage rate the same but we’re going cut your total hours down. What the the hell is the difference. Sure I will pay you 65 dollars an hour but I will pay you every other hour. That’s BS That was definitely not the intention of the Cares Act. I have no idea why you guys are getting on the MEC for asking for progression. If they want us to take one for the “Team” make us part of the “Team”. Period!

Would be bold to take government money, push VLOA, squeeze us for hours, furlough, and then go into BK to screw us. From what I understand, it's tougher to go into BK than it was in the past.

I completely agree and this is what bothered me the most. The fact that the bill would have provisions about not being able to alter your hourly rate but somehow the company could alter/lessen the amount of hours worked!? This is absolute garbage

As far as the MEC I appreciate them trying to stick to their guns. However, we clearly have a new issue that needs to be addressed while a prior one will not see the light of day for quite some time.

Aside from politics which I acknowledge...

Given the passenger loads and costs at the moment why hasn't Delta parked all of their jets opting to fly only CRJs to meet current demands?

I completely agree with this thinking. And for those of you that aren’t in agreement with the current direction our MEC is going, please reach out to them this week. Remember, they work for us. I would hope that they would do a quick survey to get a grasp on what’s important to us. Maybe there’s not enough time? But yes, I too feel that career progression should be put on the back burner for now. Delta will have its own problems with progression for a while. One question I have in regards to bankruptcy since the Union brought it up in their last email. Doesn’t Delta Mainline have to file and then include Endeavor?
