I do have a colleague from flight school at republic now, he’s not flying much although he started training a long while ago, backlog is happening everywhere.

I chose EDV because I heard great things about the company from pilots all around the industry, plus had a superior all around interview and onboarding experience. I did also get a CJO from Republic but decided to go EDV.

Not really talking about backlog. You’ll find out when you get here. Good luck!

And any FO who unfortunately gets the 200 while the fleet shrinks will be stuck on reserve with very little flying opportunity for a long, long time.

It's a significant risk. If Violin said that they wanted DTW or ATL, then I'd say go for EDV. EDV has no guarantee of NYC right now, and the potential reward of NYC doesn't outweigh the significant career detriment of getting assigned the 200 during initial.

Pretty sure it's 50+ days for new hire OE wait right now...everywhere has a back log. Don't use that as a reason to go somewhere

My point was that every single pilot on property is used as a reserve pilot. The schedule you’re awarded will be shredded even before you start your trip. 18 hour layover turns into min rest. Used and abused and reused. Have fun with that.

Oh I agree with you. senior fo and since the start of may I've had only one trip not butchered. Yes way more 10hr rest lately than I can recall ever having.

50 days and shrinking. Forecast is for basically no delay by end of the year. (Due to increase in LCPs and decrease in new hires)

Anybody have the latest attrition numbers?

I have a friend who is an LCA and per him the current wait time is approximately 46 days, however it will not begin to drop until September even with the influx of LCA. FWIW

Well, if it's on FB, it must be true.

I highly doubt the 12. 12 is not a viable fleet from a maintenance parts stock perspective. The 700 is an exception to that rule because of short field capability. The 200 has no capabilities which make a 12 haul fleet justified.
