So, are you saying that ALL of the flying if based in MSP or DTW is in the 200? I recently received a CJO and would have to commute. MSP or DTW would be the easiest for me, but I'd like to get some 900 time as well.

Nope, MSP/DTW is 200 and 900. He is saying that if your first assignment is MSP/DTW 200, you shouldn't have to wait too long if you want the 900 down the line. I'm DTW and there are more below me on the 200 than 900 in base, and more 200s are being added to the fleet.

Do you also happen to know the approximate reserve times in both MSP and DTW, as well as projected upgrade time for new hires? Hate to ask these same old questions but I didn't see anything in the last several pages of posts.

Reserve for Detroit, 3-4 months it sounds like. MSP is probably similar, but I don't know any guys out there currently.

I'm in my second month of reserve (MSP 200) and might have held a line in March if not for DTW needing TDY pilots. So it's about 3-4 months at MSP on the 200 side, longer in the 900.

Reserve on the 200 is projected to be about 3 months. 900 is rumored to be about 6 months. This changes constantly, and varies base by base. I highly recommend you delve deeper into this thread and read forward. Page 177 is less than 2 months old. Lots of good info here, and not as much BS or drama as is typical to APC.
