Complete false!! If you aren't in fact making this up then those guys are clueless. There's only one airline in control here and that's Delta. The increase in flying they had us doing warranted a base opening to facilitate that flying. Most of us would rather stay west of Chicago!

I am surprised at the number of Skywest pilots under the impression we are the problem child at DTW, and are unaware at our recent fleet expansion. Delta has always had multiple carriers at DTW... Pinnacle, Mesaba, Compass, Comair, Expressjet, Shuttle, now Skywest.
I'm assuming the Skywest expansion is more due to balancing out flying with the pulldown of Shuttle 145 flying. Not to mention all the Expressjet 200 flying is not DTW based but ATL, this gives Inc a DTW 200 base.
