Any "Latest & Greatest" about Endeavor?
#6081
The funny part is if I commuted to JFK or LGA I would have a line on the 200 or on the 900 in October. If DTW continues like this for the next few months then there are going to be a lot of guys stuck on reserve for +3 months.
I will say that the guys that spent years on reserve are much more patient than I am. It just sucks. I've just been dropping every reserve day I can in favor of picking up trips for 200% on OT.

More appropriate to say f-en thanks Delta. GoJet and Skywest are in effect being rewarded for lower performance numbers. Be a different story if there was a stipend or something to attract people or make it worthwhile for commuters to go there. Instead, the slow release of their plans makes it very difficult to plot a course. Heck, every couple of months the percentage of New York opperations increases by 5%. If I remember right they announced 45% two years ago. Right now it seems smoke and mirrors are the norm to attract new pilots at all regionals.

The company can increase the newhire bonus up to $10,000 as per the LOA last December, I'd expect that to happen if classes aren't at the desired size.
Plans are the same as at every contract carrier- who knows??
By the time we figure this out, it will be a new one. Frustrating nonetheless.
Anybody catch that RAH ad with "leading pay" and including per diem and health care into their numbers?

^this^ then you have ops calling you as you're pushing back asking why there was a delay if you're on the BF.

Well there's that for sure!!! Up until this month we've had a handle on it. Lots of weather out east lately, and the Delta meltdown on Monday has been challenging for sure. Add to that the influx of a lot of new captains and to me it sounds like a recipe for disaster. Not sure what's going on in scheduling, they seem to be having their own issues. There's less than a month left with the summer schedules , then hopefully it'll calm down.

Look at how many IROPs there have been on the east coast. Some times it seems every day, so everything goes up. Nothing we can do when that happens.
On our end I don't think we have much fault in this. Part of the issue was the lack of NYC 200 crew base, so if a crew got out of position, it would hurt well down the line. Once those are running, I'd assume smoother ops.

I'm not trying to gulp down koolaid here but they seem to have done a pretty decent job keeping NYC running despite everything. It's probably the hardest set of airports to run a base out of. When a TS cell 100nm away from an arrival gate will close down an arrival/initiate SWAP then it is kind of hard to be critical of the company.
Just smile and keep your sense of humor.
