Actually I do take it with me, for 2 reasons...
1. I've had stuff stolen out of it by presumably aircraft cleaners or caterers,
2. I've had my aircraft swapped out during a long sit only to show up 2 hours later and find all my stuff piled up in the corner of the jetbridge cab.
So ya, I take it with me now if I leave the plane for more than 30 mnutes.

Is there really 75 SSP interviews scheduled for the 15th or was that a serious typo?

in one day it's probably 15 or so. They may well be doing 15 a day for the week so perhaps it's 75 for the month, but not in one day.

How many hours could you expect to fly a year on reserve?

That depends on many factors... I'd safely say it is anywhere between 200 and 900 hours per year.

For some reason it's so good to hear those familiar words.

Back in my day (2007 hire), that was a great reason to go to the regionals. Now you see EVERY range of pilot getting picked up by majors. Flight time is no longer a large factor.

First, the company has to fly you to get your 100 hours in 120 days, second, reserve won't last long!

What is reserve time running in each of the domiciles? What could a new hire expect to hold as far as domicile?
