Its just awful that a Delta employee that gets hired tomorrow will be put on the standby list at a higher priority than someone who has been at 9E for years; just because they're employed by "mainline."

Does the flight case have to be one of those hard square ones or can you get something lighter like the aerocoast Pro 1 flight crew bag? Seems big enough for jepps plus more.

What about adding a significant other who isn't your wife but long term girlfriend?

They can be added as a "domestic partner" as long as you have some proof you have been living in a spouse like relationship for at least 6 months!(credit card bill, lease with both names on it, etc)

Aerocoast has discontinued the hard case made for the CRJ. The new semi rigid one is all that is available. I just got it today delivered to the hotel. I will let you know how it is.

Delta couldn't care less either way. That's more of an ALPA decision. I HIGHLY doubt Delta's MEC would give that up any time soon.

As I understand it, that's only on Delta or other DC carrier metal. 9E employees would bump a mainline employee on their metal. Correct me if I'm wrong, please. If my carrier had that agreement in place, you better believe I'm trying to fly my own metal.

Such is life in this world we operate. If my time comes to join the mainline ranks, I'll be glad to bump someone like me...it's just the way things work.

I think that we sometimes forget who actually owns the "metal".
