No, currently any EV person gets to have priority on any EV metal before any DAL employee gets on. This was negotiated after EV was sold from DAL.

EV employees can use S2 on EV metal, but not DAL metal. On DAL metal EV employees are S3C priority. Not sure if other DAL FFD carriers have this, but we pay $200 a year for travel benefits.

Agree 9E should have priority over DAL on own metal. Problem is DAL owns 9E and will call the shots that favor DAL employees. As we all know, Anderson has been the grim reaper for DCI carriers many times over.

What have been the base assignments for recent hires? Is JFK and LGA most junior to get assigned to?

Here's a question. How far ahead can you select a class date if hired? I have an interview date next month but for personal reasons I would desire a class date in late winter/nearly spring. Would it make more sense to reschedule the interview for later? I don't want to give them the wrong impression or waste anyone's time.

They have been offering people classes a few months out if they need it. Much farther than that and I'm not sure. Just be honest with them and I'm guessing they will try to help out.

Its really been a mix. I believe the only one that hasnt been assigned to new
hires yet is MSP 900 FO...but some new hires have still been awarded that very quickly from what I hear.

There were 3 or 4 MSP-900 openings for the June class, so it can happen. However, that seems to have been an unique situation.

Has anyone been through the ATP-CTP at CAE/Simulflight in Dallas? I'm headed there next week and curious as to what to expect. If you've been, how was your experience?

Since we're not using EFB's yet and have to carry a flight case is there anyone that commutes with a backpack also, meaning you have 3 items , and if so does the gate agent make you check one of your bags? Since the limit is only two carry on items.

I do and don't ever check it. I carry the roll aboard lunchbox laptop back and flight case.
