I still don’t get exactly what he was asking for outside of the FAR’s and the CBA? No one has actually pointed that out yet.

Yeah I saw that. Which is odd because he has a 9/17 hire date which would have made him 20yo. Maybe he did the same thing as an FO and didn't start IOE until his birthday, and wanted to do the same as captain.

He also is at 958 hours, so he might not have had the 950 by the bid closing. Either way it's all speculation.

I’m told (by people that were there) that he’s been smoozing the company for weeks to allow him to bid a CA upgrade even though he won’t be 23 when it closes. That the company agreed to let him do it if ALPA agreed to let him do it. He then began lobbying (pressuring) other MEC members to do a LOA to allow him to upgrade sooner.

The post from whistleblower above I am told by reputable sources is essentially accurate; does have some spin but is factually correct.

He initially got the CRJ as an FO and got sent to work for recruiting until he turned 21....then got switch to 145 LGA while keeping seniority.

So much for FOs not being able to switch planes. 🤔

Yeah well if true, that’s crap and he should know better. Not exactly leading by example if it’s the case.

I’ve dug deeper. I would strongly strongly encourage every NY pilot to contact the other base reps or either the current or new MEC chairman.

I have had direct contact with several personally. Those of you who know me, know I trust but verify. I have trusted Karim. I have verified. I no longer trust him to represent the outstanding pilots of LEC121.
I encourage you all to reach out to the other reps or officers.

There is no witch hunt.

It’s on you guys. Do your due diligence and call the other base reps or the MEC chairmen (current or future) and ask for yourself. I’ve done the work already, you can trust me or not; that’s up to you. If not, then you owe it to yourself to make a phone call or two.

If he has the time who the flying ******* cares? This sounds like middle school drama. You have some dude who doesn’t even work here anymore starting a witch hunt against someone who for as far as I can understand tried to get some LOA passed that let him get the upgrade on the next bid because it’ll be a few days short of him turning 23. I bet like 10 people care about this...nothing to see here. Move on. There’s been more drama about this than the company paying the backpay late. Mostly all the dudes arguing it have already flowed too. They need to get a life and realize hobbies exist outside envoy ALPA.
