They absolutely need more. We are already understaffed and are losing WAY more than 20/mo.
I have no idea if they are hiring less than 20 because of lack of applicants or some bottleneck in training. I have no idea if they are really only hiring 20/month for that matter.

In theory would understaffing effect reserve time?

Absolutely hilarious, but I don’t see this original post. To the original post, I would say it sounds like your personal situation is mid air collision itself. Nothing that ENY has advertised could cause “financial ruin”. If you came to ENY, you must have had a reason. I’m not saying ENY is by any means great as I have done my fair share of bashing but if it was as bad as you say, you should have quit long ago.

Envoy isn’t going anywhere.
Training backlog is because of management’s inability to plan and spool up our training department in time for COVID recovery. The complaints here mostly stem from a management that reacts rather than plans ahead and below average reserve rules.
Otherwise the pay here is at the top end of the regional level, we have desirable bases, a large fleet, career progression, commuter hotels, and good AA flight benefits. And despite what you read on here, I think most people are in fact happy here.

May not be able to make much extra, but aside from a bit of per diem that’s not much less than Envoy advertised. Suck, absolutely, “financial ruin”, hardly. Definitely melodramatic OP.
