you probably didn’t mean too, but let’s all try to learn from this and do better.

I think the ACLU is suggest saying “temporary unemployment” they actually put out a great app you can download. (It’s free!) and they have a list of better words to use instead.

this is quite ridiculous. Do you live under a rock? Sorry I’m not trying to be rude but if you really don’t know, in the app I mentioned it can elaborate on the origins. It turns out there is actually some anti LGBTQJA+ aggressions behind the word too!

look I’m not trying to get on people about this...rather I ask that people think a litter harder before you post something like this....you wouldn’t do this in front of your employer if you were not anonymous...so just don’t do it here please.

There's aggression in everything, if you don't like it, then don't say anything. Oh as a side note I'm offended at your narrow mindset and feel threatened by you.

Look, all I’m saying is imagine you were flying with someone you knew was a disadvantage folk like Swayne and you used that word in front of him. I’m sure that could really offend him and you might feel really guilty about it....just something to consider.

No offense, but you’re nuts. The ALCU can take their snowflake app and choke on it. The word furlough has its origins in the 17th century and I’m not worried about it being hijacked into an offensive term.

Airlines furlough. They then recall their furloughs. Sometimes they have to furlough again. Then they recall those who were furloughed.

It's also the word used in the CBA. You can't change those words without bargaining.
